Ukraine intends to raise fees for the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline amid massive Russian attacks. This is reported Bloomberg with reference to a letter sent by the Ukrainian operator Ukrtransneft to the Russian Transneft. The Russian operator confirmed receipt of the request. The company assured that the proposal is being studied, reports “RIA News”.

According to a letter seen by Bloomberg, ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have led to a shortage of electricity, an increase in its cost, as well as a shortage of fuel and spare parts. Also, the Ukrainian operator noted, prices for ensuring safe working conditions and protecting facilities have increased. Ukrtransneft, the agency reports, plans to increase the tariffs for the transportation of raw materials to Hungary and Slovakia from January 1 by €2.10 per ton, to €13.60.
