Ukraine arrested almost 400 Russian and Belarusian railcars

A court in Ukraine has arrested more than 390 railcars belonging to enterprises from Belarus and Russia. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
“During the pre-trial investigation, the police discovered the property of eight Russian and two Belarusian enterprises. We are talking about more than 390 railway cars. Their market value is about 400 million hryvnia (more than $10.8 million). At present, the court has seized the discovered property of Russian and Belarusian enterprises,” the report says.
The press service notes that they decided to arrest the cars as part of a criminal case on financing actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power in Ukraine.
March 10 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed law on confiscation of property of Russia and its legal entities in Ukraine without compensation. “Ukrainian Railways” started nationalization of Russian wagons on 15 March. Then there were about 15 thousand of them from 250 companies on the Ukrainian routes. In July it was arrested 315 railway cars from Russia and Belarus with mineral fertilizers.
