French fries will appear in all restaurants of the Vkusno — i Tochka chain (the successor to McDonald`s in Russia) during September, reported “RIA News” and TASS in the press service of the network. Part of the raw materials will be imported from abroad, potato sticks will be slightly larger in size.
“In order to ensure the availability of potatoes of the required varieties, in addition to working with a local supplier, we began to import part of the production volume required for the network. The sticks of this potato are slightly larger, and we are already getting positive feedback from guests about its taste,” the company said. The product is already on the menu of some of the chain’s restaurants.
At the beginning of July in the company reported RBC that due to a poor potato harvest in 2021 in Russia, a number of network establishments will temporarily not offer french fries and village potatoes. A little later “Delicious – period” reported about the refusal of all foreign manufacturers to supply french fries.
McDonald’s sold their establishments in Russia to a businessman from Novokuznetsk, Alexander Govor, who previously owned 25 McDonald`s outlets in several cities of the Russian Federation.
