UAC will create an enterprise for the production of UAVs together with Glory Air – Kommersant

United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) statedwhich will soon establish a venture with Glory Air to produce drones.

“The partners are planning to organize the production of a line of aircraft-type drones with the ability to take off and land vertically. There is an assessment of the potential of a number of solutions in the payload mass range from 20 to 200 kg, ”the UAC press service notes.

Yury Slyusar, General Director of the corporation, said that UAC “consistently develops its competencies in the field of unmanned aerial systems” and is going to take a leading position in this area on the Russian market.

Former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov informedthat next year in Russia it is planned to produce about 18 thousand drones. According to him, among the areas of implementation of the national project for the development of unmanned aerial systems, he also named the creation of demand for Russian drones, training of personnel, and the creation of “promising groundwork.” Also, by the end of the year, a program will be created to legalize the use of drones. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency are preparing to bring drones out of the gray zone.
