Most often, investors made transactions with bank shares: their turnover has increased by 276% since the summer, said Andrei Yatskov, head of the VTB brokerage department, at the “Russia Calling!” forum.
VTB broker clients also increased transactions with government bonds, the turnover growth was 9%. Interest in mutual funds has increased. Their share in client portfolios increased by 8%, turnover increased by 113%. The ratio of stocks and bonds has not changed since the summer – 43.7% and 43.8%, respectively. Money/currency accounted for 2.3%.
Trading volume at the VTB broker increased by more than 30% compared to the summer. “We believe that this is due to the return of investors from vacation and a rich information flow regarding corporate news,” said Mr. Yatskov. He also noted the growing interest of VTB clients in money market funds.
