Burak Gunaydin, an expert at the Turkish Export Council, told RIA Novosti that his organization had not received any notifications regarding the transit of sanctioned goods to Russia. Earlier, representatives of Russian logistics companies in a conversation with Kommersant FM spoke on Turkey blocking the transit of goods subject to Western restrictions.

“Our council has not received any administrative notifications in connection with the mentioned topic, nor have they been brought to the attention of the public,” said an expert from the Exporters Council, which determines Turkey’s export policy.

How told Commercial Director of Transasia Logistics, the Turkish authorities did not publish official orders and regulations, as they would have to admit the fact of deliveries of sanctioned goods to Russia. Some interlocutors of Kommersant FM believe that the problems with the transit of sanctioned goods are related to the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Turkey.

Trade turnover between Russia and Turkey from January to September 2022 increased twice, reaching $45 billion. According to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, such a high figure is due to rising prices for natural gas, which Ankara buys from Moscow.
