Turkey has become the most popular country for Russians to travel in the first half of 2023. This follows from the data of the MTS Travel hotel booking service, which leads RBC. The second place in popularity was taken by Belarus, although last year it ranked first.

From January to June 2023, Turkey accounted for 15% of the tourist flow abroad. At the same time, the tourist flow to Turkey from January to June 2023 was 70% higher than in the first half of 2022.

Over the year, the share of Russian trips to Belarus decreased by 4 p.p., to 13% of the tourist flow. In third place is Kazakhstan. Its position in the ranking and the share of the total number of trips (8.5%) remained the same.

The total number of trips of Russians to other countries over the specified period increased by one and a half times compared to a year earlier. The countries of Southeast and East Asia showed the greatest growth in the number of trips.
