Trutnev: master plans for renovation are ready in 17 cities of the Far East

Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) Yuri Trutnev said that 17 of the 25 cities of the Far Eastern Federal District that participate in the region’s renovation program have prepared master plans. Mr. Trutnev also said that housing for more than 80,000 people would be built under the Far Eastern Quarter program. He noted that the difference in the cost of housing between the regions of the Far East and central Russia in 2022 decreased to 6% after 15% in 2019.
The presidential envoy noted that the preparation of master plans for renovation is a new line of work for the authorities of the Far Eastern regions. According to him, so far the best draft master plans have been presented in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Ulan-Ude and Magadan.
Yuri Trutnev added that housing construction work under the Far Eastern Quarter program has begun at seven sites in the Khabarovsk, Kamchatka, Trans-Baikal Territories, the Sakhalin and Amur Regions, the Republic of Buryatia and the Jewish Autonomous Region. According to him, within the framework of the program, housing will be built for more than 80 thousand people, as well as the necessary social infrastructure.
The Far Eastern Quarter program was launched in 2021, it is aimed at stimulating the integrated development of residential areas in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.
Mr. Trutnev also said that about 40% of the areas received under the Far Eastern Hectare program are used for construction. According to him, as a result, at the end of 2021, the rate of housing commissioning in the Far Eastern Federal District was almost twice the average for Russia. “At the same time, it is extremely important for us that the difference in the cost of housing between the regions of the Far East and the central strip of Russia has begun to decrease.
