General Director of Transmashholding JSC (TMH) Kirill Lipa said that the company plans to re-register its business in Moscow. At the moment, the head division of the holding Transmashholding Limited is registered in Cyprus.
As he writes TASSthe process of re-registration of the TMH business in Moscow should be completed before the end of this year.
Russian shareholders, including Kirill Lipa, own 80% of Transmashholding Limited. The other 20% is owned by the French concern Alstom, which, according to the head of TMH, is leaving the company’s shareholders due to the imposition of US sanctions. “Alstom is leaving us due to the fact that we got into SDN,” said Mr. Lipa. The United States presented the updated SDN List, which included Transmashholding, on September 14.
Mr. Lipa also said that THM intends to challenge the sanctions imposed by the American authorities against the Metrovagonmash company, which is part of the holding, by the end of 2023. The company came under sanctions in May of this year. Now, according to Kirill Lipa, preparations are underway to submit documents on lifting sanctions to the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury.
