The Bank of Russia has established criteria for the export of cash from the country in amounts exceeding $10,000. However, only authorized banks and VEB.RF will be able to obtain these permits, and they will also have to return a comparable amount of cash to the country, minus overhead costs. Less than a month ago, the Central Bank did not see the possibility of issuing a permit for the export of cash currency for such amounts. Experts consider this an indicator of the aggravation of the situation with cash currency in the country, as well as the growth in the volume of substandard cash currency in banks. In addition, such a move by the Central Bank may contribute to some weakening of the ruble.
