Today, January 29, Japanese Toyota Motor reported on the suspension of supplies of a number of models with diesel engines for which the certification test procedure was violated. Toyota’s internal commission found that violations were committed when measuring power and issuing corresponding certificates for three types of diesel engines (1GD, 2 GD and F33A), developed by a subsidiary of Toyota Industries.

Until the detected violations are resolved and corrected, the company will suspend deliveries of Land Cruiser Prado, Hilux, Land Cruiser 300, LX500d, Hiace minivans and Hilux trucks, which are equipped with various modifications of 1GD, 2 GD and F33A diesel engines. The restrictions will affect both the Japanese market and the markets of the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
