Russian tour operators are starting to offer last-minute tours to Turkey, the discount can reach 30%, reports Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). According to ATOR, the cost of last-minute Fun&Sun tours to Antalya for two people with accommodation in a five-star hotel starts from 64,000 rubles. Similar tours to five-star hotels in Bodrum cost from 120 thousand rubles, four-star ones – from 100 thousand rubles. Weekly tours to four-star hotels for two in Dalaman start at Fun & Sun from 86,000 rubles, to five-star hotels – from 106,000 rubles, ATOR reports.
At the same time, the tour operator warned that popular hotels should be booked in advance, because they may be “in the foot” a few weeks before the expected departure date. “We recommend that tourists, if they have special wishes for the accommodation facility and room category, do not postpone the purchase of the tour to the last moment, especially since there are many interesting promotions for distant dates that allow tourists to save money,” Fun & Sun noted.
According to ATOR, the appearance of last-minute trips to Turkey has become possible, among other things, due to the expansion of flight programs to Turkish destinations.
In early June, ATOR Vice President Artur Muradyan told Kommersant FM that the demand for tours to Turkey is growing, including in the premium sector. At the same time, prices for premium holidays in Turkey this summer have caught up with the cost of trips to exotic countries. And five-star hotels have risen in price by at least 15% compared to last season.
