Dating service Tinder stopped working in Russia. The application has disappeared from the App Store and is no longer available on Google Play, the Vedomosti correspondent was convinced.
When trying to find Tinder on Google Play, I get a notification that it’s not available in the selected region. In the App Store, the application is not displayed at all when searching. The Tinder developer page in the Apple store also no longer has apps available for users from Russia.
When logging into Tinder, a Russian user’s account displays an error notification and asks them to log in later. TASS writesthat Android users can still access the previously downloaded app.
May 2 Match Group (owner of Tinder) reportedthat will leave Russia by June 30. Tinder restricted access to paid options for Russians back in April 2022. At the end of May, the service began to warn Russians about the termination of work in the country from June 30.
Later, the company explained that from that day on, paid subscriptions in the application would also no longer be automatically renewed for users from Russia. For subscriptions for six months and for a year, users will be able to return the funds by filling out an application on the site, Tinder said.
Before that, about leaving Russia against the backdrop of the start of a special operation in Ukraine stated American Bumble Inc., which owns the international dating services Bumble, Badoo and Fruitz. In March 2022, applications became unavailable for citizens of Russia and Belarus.
