The social network TikTok will reduce the staff in Russia, transmits “RIA Novosti” with reference to the press service of the company.
“This year we were forced to make a number of decisions regarding the operation of our service in Russia, and now, unfortunately, we have to reduce the staff in the country. We deeply appreciate these employees and their contribution to the development of the platform, and we guarantee their support during this difficult time, ”the message says.
The press service also noted that the network is assessing the situation in Russia in order to make a decision on the safe resumption of a full-fledged service.
March 7th TikTok was forced to suspend the download of new content from Russia after the law on the spread of fakes about the Russian army came into force in the country. The company said they are investigating the possible security implications of the law.
In July the company refuted information about lifting restrictions on work in Russia. Russians are unable to view content from authors from other countries.
