Forced to delete photos

On April 11, at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, a farewell was held for the opera and pop singer Evgeny Kungurov. His body was found on April 8 under the windows of the house where he lived. Cameras and journalists were deployed at the entrance. Only loved ones were allowed into the farewell hall.

The songs “Crimson Ringing”, “The night will pass, a clear morning will come”, “Hope is my earthly compass” performed by Evgeniy, Zhenya, as everyone called him, were sung. He was 40 years old. His career was on the rise, but he chose death.

Evgeniy will be buried in his homeland, where his parents still live – in Zarechny, Sverdlovsk region. Among those who came to say goodbye to him were his fellow countrymen, representatives of the Ural community in Moscow. “You are our Ural gem, our pride,” said a representative of the community at the coffin.

Within 20 minutes, colleagues and friends said goodbye to the deceased. Then there was a fifteen-minute farewell ceremony. Everyone who found the strength came out and shared their memories – a classmate at the conservatory who introduced himself as Sergei, aspiring singers, his students… Evgeniy worked with someone on the stage for several years. Colleagues said that opera was always the main thing for him.

After short speeches it was possible to come up again, leave flowers, and say goodbye. Taking photographs in the hall, even with a phone, was strictly prohibited. Two young women, and not a squad of strong security guards, managed to restore order. They acted clearly and delicately. As soon as one of Evgeniy’s colleagues took out his mobile phone and took a farewell photo, they immediately came up and demanded that the photo be deleted. Evgeny was handsome and young in his mourning bed, and this made it creepy. How ridiculous it all is, and it could have been avoided.

There were no random people at the farewell party. At the end of the funeral ceremony, singer Zara came to say goodbye to Evgeny Kungurov. Many famous people try to avoid the hype, appearing either in advance, while no one is there, or unnoticed at the very end.

While they were gathering at the entrance, they were talking anxiously about the need to restore order “in this area.” It was about a doctor with whom Evgeniy communicated, and then he blocked his number. “We got it done. “Everyone is to blame,” one could hear something like that.

Many were shocked by the news of Kungurov’s death. It would seem that they had known each other for a long time, met often, worked together. Evgeniy was cheerful, responsive, and treated everyone with great attention. But it turned out that they didn’t feel something important. Colleagues said that they knew nothing about Evgeniy’s problems.

Kungurov’s children are still small – a son and a tiny daughter. They were not there at parting.
