Stanislav was born in Tashkent on August 5, 1950, graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, where his master was the legendary Zinovy ​​Korogodsky. Independent professional life was associated with the Leningrad Youth Theater. Bryantsev. He joined the once powerful tyuz brotherhood, worked at the Youth Theater in Riga, the current RAMT. Already in Israel, Stanislav made a documentary film “Dina Rubina. On the Sunny Side of the Street” for the anniversary of her heroine. In 2019, it was shown at the Literature and Cinema Festival in Gatchina. The director himself could not come. The picture was presented by Dina Rubina, who specially came to Gatchina. She liked this film, and she met with the audience not only at the festival, but also in the library, answered all questions. In 2022, Stanislav Mitin presented in absentia in Gatchina the film “Sarah Pogreb. I stayed silent until poetry”, filmed together with his wife Ella Mitina about the poetess, who lived to be 99 years old in Israel and wrote poetry until her last days. The picture was shown at festivals in Israel and the USA.

And the final chord is this – together with his family, Stanislav shot a short film in Berlin based on the story of his son David Katz, inviting cameraman Sergei Yurizditsky, who has long lived in Germany. This is a picture about a mysterious automaton, which are on platforms and in other public spaces, and require a special approach. The film was shot in German, and the main role was played by a German actor. This project turned out to be a family one. Stas is a director and screenwriter, Ella is an editor, executive producer and make-up artist. Their son became not only the author of the literary fundamentals, but also a producer, and his wife became a costume designer, responsible for lunches on the site. It’s good that all this happened, such a farewell unity.

There were many ideas. Stanislav constantly worked, overcoming the disease. He dreamed of making a feature film, wrote the script “Sunday Morning” based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy “Resurrection”, but did not manage to realize it.
