The volume of transfers from Kazakhstan to other countries through the Unistream payment system in August amounted to 91 million tenge. In July, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added Unistream to the sanctions list. After this, cooperation with the payment system was suspended by several banks in Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
