The volume of small purchases of state-owned companies from SMEs increased to 375 billion rubles over the year

The volume of small-scale purchases (up to 500,000 rubles) of state-owned companies from small and medium-sized businesses (SME) at the end of last year amounted to 375 billion rubles, almost doubling compared to 2021, when this figure was at the level of 194 billion rubles. About it reported in the press service of the SME Corporation.

“The interest of small and especially micro businesses in small-scale purchases is due to simplified requirements for their participants and takes place without unnecessary bureaucracy. Thanks to this, even entrepreneurs who have recently started their own business and self-employed can act as suppliers,” says Alexander Isaevich, General Director of SME Corporation.

The SME Corporation recalled that since April 2022, the Small Volume Procurement Showcase has been operating on the SME.RF digital platform, through this service a total of 2,800 contracts worth over 4.1 billion rubles were concluded. Now this platform collects information from 78 electronic platforms and corporate online stores, Isaevich added.

It is clarified that this service is most often used by entrepreneurs who are engaged in retail and wholesale trade (33.1%), construction (10.5%), computer software development (5.2%), as well as those who work in architecture and engineering design (3.5%).

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a report on the work of the government in the State Duma, said that the authorities obliged state-owned companies to carry out 25% of purchases from small companies, reducing the payment period to seven days and increasing the advance payment to 50%. As a result, the volume of purchases by state-owned companies from small and medium-sized businesses almost doubled over three years and exceeded 7 trillion rubles.
