On April 2, the capital’s Museum of Non-Conformism hosted the opening day of a new exhibition of the famous artist, inventor of pictograms Igor Novikov.
The “Hierotopy” project is an attempt to construct sacred space within the framework of the modern artistic process with reference to the codes of the past, the organizers emphasize.
Novikov invited only close friends and like-minded people to the preview of the exhibition.
The MK correspondent was one of the first to see a selection of paintings from the 1990s-2020s, filled with new semantics, with recognizable branded human figures.
