JSC “VaninoTransUgol” in its relations with “Russian Coal” acted in full accordance with the terms of the agreement concluded between the parties, and existing disagreements are subject to settlement in the prescribed manner, the company said in a statement received by Kommersant.

On February 5, Russian Coal published a statement on its website in which it warned market participants about “unfair market practices” used by VaninoTransUgol. The statement said the terminal has decided to increase the transhipment cost by up to three times with a long-term contract in place. When the coal company refused, the terminal stopped fulfilling the contract without compensation.

VaninoTransUgol adds that the publication of Russian Coal violates contractual provisions and business standards, since by virtue of the contract the parties cannot disclose commercial information. The company reserves the right to protect its business reputation.
