The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies by companies will become a prerequisite for receiving budget subsidies, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. This approach will be tested in 2024 for companies whose revenue exceeds RUB 800 million.
“By order of the President, the use of artificial intelligence will become mandatory for all companies that plan to receive any subsidies from the federal budget. Starting next year, we will test this approach at enterprises whose annual revenue exceeds 800 million rubles,” the Deputy Prime Minister said at the AI Journey conference organized by Sberbank.
First of all, these measures will apply to companies that operate in priority industries for the country. According to the forecast presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, the introduction of AI technologies will bring GDP by an additional 11.3 trillion rubles by 2030.
This month became knownthat the government will launch a federal project “Digital Health Services”. As part of the project, the authorities will provide budgetary support for the introduction of AI in medicine. About 16% of Russian medical organizations are already implementing AI into their work.
In the beginning of November opened The first All-Russian school on artificial intelligence and big data at the National Center for Physics and Mathematics in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region. At the school, students and young scientists can listen to lectures from leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
