Food Solutions KZ, which operated McDonald’s in Kazakhstan, renamed the chain’s restaurants for the third time after the departure of the American company. Now they are called I`m.
The presentation took place on November 23 in Almaty, reports Kazakh Forbes. The rebranding was announced by the General Director of Food Solutions KZ Aset Mashanov. Under the main inscription I`m it says: feel-good restaurants (“restaurants that lift your spirits”).
McDonald’s restaurants opened in Kazakhstan in 2016. At the beginning of 2023, the American company reported about leaving the country amid dwindling supplies. Authorities of Kazakhstan explained the closure of McDonald’s because the company had problems after the sale of its Russian business.
In January 2023, restaurants installed “We’re Open” signs. Since August, the network has operated under different names, based on the names of company employees.
