The State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourist Infrastructure Development proposed that the government develop a national standard for patriotic tourism. This is stated in the recommendations following the committee round table. The document is referenced TASS.
First of all, the project will affect children, “since it is the continuity of generations that will allow preserving the self-identity of the people and the state.” It is expected that schoolchildren, college and technical school students will be transported “to areas that have the greatest potential in the field of patriotic tourism.”
This idea can be implemented within the framework of the Patriotic Ring of Russia project. The route will include hero cities: Belgorod, Kursk, Orel, Voronezh, Kronstadt, Naro-Fominsk, Vladivostok, Anapa, as well as Mariupol and Melitopol.
Such programs will include information “about heroes of the past and present,” about the achievements of the regions, the work of local youth associations, and military-patriotic clubs. Children will be invited to take part in military-historical festivals. It is proposed to include the topic “Patriotic Ring” in the “Conversations about Important” program.
The project “Patriotic Ring of Russia” was announced in May 2022. Regional patriotic routes have already been created in 51 regions. It is expected that schoolchildren’s trips to places of military glory will become part of the compulsory educational program.
