The shares of PJSC TGC-2, seized in favor of the state at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, came under the control of Gazprom Energoholding LLC. A source familiar with the situation reported this to Kommersant. The press service of Gazprom Energoholding did not comment on this information. The press service of TGC-2 also declined to comment on the transfer of shares.

“According to PJSC TGC-2, no changes have occurred in the company’s management,” the press service told Kommersant.

“Kommersant” reportedthat the Leninsky District Court of Yaroslavl on July 14 satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the seizure of 83% of the shares of PJSC TGC-2 from private owners in favor of the state.

According to the department, the shares were used for illegal profit by former senator Leonid Lebedev, against whom a criminal case is being investigated. On October 13, the Yaroslavl Regional Court confirmed the legality of the decision and it entered into legal force.

Gazprom Energoholding LLC is a 100% subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom and manages the generating companies of the Gazprom Group. Gazprom Energoholding is the largest owner of electric power assets in Russia; it owns controlling stakes in PJSC Mosenergo, PJSC MOEK, PJSC TGK-1 and PJSC OGK-2.
