The Russian Ministry of Culture banned Sokurov’s film “Fairy Tale”

Director Alexander Sokurov said that the Russian Ministry of Culture sent him an official notice of refusal to issue a distribution certificate for his film “Fairy Tale”.
According to Sokurov, the Ministry of Culture did not explain why they made this decision.
Sokurov clarified that at the moment a ban on showing the film has also been imposed in Germany, but distributors will show the film in other countries.
The day before, the screening of the film “Fairy Tale” was canceled at the International Film Festival “Karo.Art” in Moscow.
The film “The Fairy Tale” is a Russian-Belgian project in the fantasy genre. The film tells the story of the events of World War II in a fantastic form.
