The Russian government has approved a draft protocol extending crude oil supplies to refineries in western China for another 10 years. The corresponding document was published on website legal information.
The order of the Cabinet notes “successful fulfillment of the obligations of the agreement by the parties.” The government extends the agreement for another 10 years and fixes the same volume of petroleum product sales – 7-10 million tons per year.
The published document amends the agreement between the Russian government and the PRC of March 22, 2013. The agreement regulates the supply of Russian crude oil through the Skovorodino-Mohe oil pipeline. The agreement provided for oil supplies from January 1, 2014 for a period of 10 years. The Russian party to the agreement is NK Rosneft.
In September, the International Energy Agency (IEA) recorded Russia’s maximum oil export revenues since July 2022.
