The Russian Embassy in the United States believes that Russian oil will be in demand even after the introduction of a price ceiling by the G7, the European Union and Australia. According to diplomats, the decision will lead to “a widespread increase in uncertainty and higher costs for consumers of raw materials.”
“With persistence worthy of a better use, the collective West is trying to solve the problems it has created from scratch. In fact, we are talking about reshaping the basic principles of the functioning of free markets,” the embassy said in a statement. Telegram.
The diplomatic mission noted that US officials “hid behind the plausible goals of supporting the energy security of developing countries.” However, according to Russian diplomats, Washington is silent about the fact that “the current imbalances at energy sites are the result of their own rash actions.”
G7 countries, Australia and EU reached a consensus to set the maximum price for Russian oil at $60 per barrel. The sanction will come into force on December 5 “or shortly thereafter.”
