The Russian analogue of Lastochka trains received a certificate of conformity

The Russian analogue of the Lastochka electric trains – ES104 – was tested by the interdepartmental commission and received certificate compliance with the requirements of the technical specifications. About it reported manufacturer ES104 “Sinara – Transport vehicles”.
“Swallows” are built on the basis of the Siemens Desiro electric train. Until May 2022, the trains were serviced by the Russian subsidiary of the German Siemens, but due to sanctions, the company left the Russian market. After Siemens left Russia, the production of trains of this model was suspended.
Since the beginning of this year, the Sinara company has begun developing a model entirely made from Russian components – the ES104 electric train, designed for direct current lines. Russian Railways awaitsthat deliveries of the Russian analogue of Lastochka will begin before the end of the year.
