During the meeting on the development of the transport complex in the constituent entities, Oleg Tony also spoke about the design of the Moscow-Minsk highway within the framework of the high-speed railway. According to him, the Russian part of the road has already been included in the territorial planning scheme.
On December 2, General Director of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov expressed hope that by 2043 most of the planned high-speed lines will be built in Russia. Then he said that design documentation for the Moscow-Kazan high-speed line was available for all stages of construction, and a preliminary assessment was being carried out for Moscow-Adler. According to him, the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway should be built by 2030.
