December 8 Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) supplied consumers through the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia 1.717 billion cubic meters. m of gas. This is a historical record for daily deliveries for December, noted in press service companies. The previous record was set on December 24, 2012 – 1.714 billion cubic meters. m. of gas.

The volume of consumption, Gazprom explained, increased due to the abnormal cold weather in December in several regions. The average air temperature on December 8 was -17°C.

“Supplies through the Gazprom gas transportation system are carried out reliably. Including, thanks to underground gas storage facilities, the daily gas withdrawal from them on some days exceeded 600 million cubic meters. m.,” the company added.

Since August, gas production in Russia has been growing due to the low base of last year. Thus, in October the figure increased by 11.8%, to 60.13 billion cubic meters. m. The recovery in production is explained, among other things, by an increase in domestic consumption. Gas reserves, as reported by Gazprom, by the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024 amount to a record 72.842 billion cubic meters. m.
