The founder of the Alcohol Siberian Group company, Andrei Strelets, is negotiating the sale of the business, they reported RBC sources. At the same time, the company’s press service claims that we are talking about finding an additional investor.
The company said it was looking for “an additional investor, not a buyer of the business.” The search for a new investor in the company was explained by the intention to “develop the business and expand the scope of its presence in new categories and segments.” Remaining in the top three among vodka producers in Russia has ceased to be the main goal, representatives of the group noted.
Alcoholic Siberian Group was founded in 1993 on the basis of the Omsk distillery Omskvinprom. At first the company was engaged in bottling and wholesale of Crimean wine. The main legal entity of the company, ASG LLC, was registered in 2008. Now the group also owns the Ruza Blending Plant near Moscow.
Alcoholic Siberian Group produces vodka under the brands Five Lakes, Belaya Berezka, Husky, Siberian Express, Kedrovitsa, as well as Holy Gun and Sea Witch whiskey.
