December futures for WTI crude oil at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) fell to $78.73 per barrel. Today, November 7, in the morning on the London Stock Exchange, the WTI grade showed drop for the first time since August 29.
Previously, Gregory Daco, chief economist at EY-Parthenon (a division of the British group Ernst & Young) predicted a sharp rise in oil prices due to the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian war. According to his forecast, the cost of a barrel could rise to $150.
