The Federal Customs Service (FCS) recorded a reduction in Russian imports in physical volume by 16% in 2022, said TASS First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov. According to him, this happened due to a decrease in supplies
“The structure of exports and imports in 2022 has not changed significantly. In general, imports decreased at the expense of European countries, according to preliminary data, the weight drop, according to preliminary data, was about 16%,” Mr. Davydov said.
Last year, he named China, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany and Belarus as Russia’s main trading partners. Trade with China increased by 28%, with Turkey – by 84%, with Belarus – by 10%. With the Netherlands, it fell by 0.1%, with Germany – by 23%.
In 2022, in particular, increased trade turnover between Russia and China – by 29.3% in annual terms, to $ 190.27 billion, which was a record. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation spokethat the share of trade between the two countries in national currencies reached almost half. Same increased trade between Japan and Russia – by 6.2%, to 2.56 trillion yen ($19.96 billion).
