Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation (PVH), which owns the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands, withdrew from the capital of the Russian division in mid-August. About it reports “Kommersant” with reference to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The name “Privacy Stores Rus” was changed to “Retail Excellence”. The new owner and CEO of the company is Denis Shchukin, who since 2018 has served as director of the PVH retail chain in Russia. PVH did not answer the newspaper’s questions.
In Russia, PVH operated more than 150 Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein stores. Kommersant suggested that the management of these points will go to Retail Excellence, since on September 12, a vacancy for a salesperson appeared on HeadHunter for the Tommy Hilfiger store in the Outlet Village in Pulkovo. Clothing manufacturer PVH owns the Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Warner’s, Olga and True & Co brands. In particular, in Russia the company developed a chain of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein stores. Against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, PVH suspended operations in the Russian Federation. The report for the first half of 2023 states that the corporation has completely withdrawn from the Russian business, including wholesale sales, Kommersant notes.
In 2021, the revenue of the Russian division of PVH amounted to 3.52 billion rubles, an increase of 42% compared to 2020. Net profit increased by 28.2%, to 211.82 million rubles. The corporation did not publish data for 2022.
Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade included Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein clothing in the list of goods allowed for parallel imports.
