The official of the capital department of transport will become the curator of the automotive industry in the Ministry of Industry and Trade

Maxim Gorin will be appointed the new head of the department of the automotive industry and railway engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Three sources told Vedomosti about this – an interlocutor in one of the auto concerns, a consultant and a person close to the ministry. According to one of them, all the conciliation procedures have already been completed and one of these days the decree on the appointment should be signed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. A spokesman for the ministry declined to comment.

Gorin is 44 years old and for several years he served as head of the transport communications development department in the Moscow Department of Transport. He took part in the development of electric transport and charging infrastructure in Moscow, including within the framework of the Moscow Electric Bus project. Participated in the creation and development of the Moscow Transport Innovations Foundation. According to one of the interlocutors of Vedomosti, Gorin was also the curator of the Moskvich automobile plant (formerly Renault Russia) on the part of the deptrans. Prior to that, he worked on projects in the auto business. The representative of the department did not answer the questions of Vedomosti.
