Every day, users make over 100,000 transactions using Tinkoff Pay. According to Tinkoff, the most expensive amount since the launch of the Tinkoff Pay purchase was 1.4 million rubles. The greatest demand for the service was recorded among residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Kazan and Novosibirsk.
Launched in partnership with the Mir payment system, the Tinkoff Pay service for Android-based smartphones allows you to pay for purchases without a bank card. To pay at the checkout, you need to bring the phone to the terminal.
In the spring of 2022, after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, Apple Pay and Google Pay contactless payment services were disabled in Russia. Tinkoff Pay was first launched in May 2022, but only served for online purchases.
