The number of soft loans issued to small and medium-sized businesses under the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises” amounted to about 136,100 in 2022, which is more than three times more than in 2020. At the same time, in monetary terms, the volume of such loans increased from 1.29 trillion rubles. in 2020 to 1.31 trillion rubles. in 2022, state support covered 23% of the volume and 35% of the number of all loans that small and medium-sized businesses received during this time.
The action of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises” ends next year. At the end of May, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov informedthat for qualitative changes in small business it is necessary to concentrate efforts on four priority areas.
These areas are support for start-up entrepreneurs, growing SMEs, growing SMEs from priority sectors – manufacturing, IT, engineering centers, small technology companies, tourism. Another priority is the SME+ category, that is, legal entities that have overcome the medium business line and continue to develop.
On May 26, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that small business in Russia showed its best side against the backdrop of sanctions, demonstrating diligence and love for the country. Mishustin also noted that small and medium-sized businesses in Russia adapted to the sanctions “not badly”, as evidenced by the increase in the number of registered companies.
