Airline Moldova reportedthat, as part of the ongoing business restructuring, will extend the suspension of flights until June 30.
“Flights have been suspended until June 30 inclusive. Passengers will receive notifications by email with the option to return and repurchase,” the carrier’s Telegram channel said.
Last fall, the Civil Aviation Authority of Moldova reported “financial shortcomings” identified during an audit by Air Moldova, which could prevent the airline from fulfilling obligations on tickets sold. It was clarified that the check was initiated after the company canceled flights more than once due to technical malfunctions of the aircraft.
On March 2 this year, Air Moldova announced the cancellation of a number of scheduled flights. Flights were then canceled at the end of April until mid-May, and the company announced a restructuring to avoid bankruptcy. Then the suspension was extended until June 16.
