The number of companies with Russian participation in Turkey increased by 670% in 2022

In 2022, 1,363 companies with Russian partners were registered in Turkey, according to report Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV). In 2021, only 177 such companies appeared. Thus, the increase in their number amounted to 670% over the year.
In general, the number of companies with foreign capital in Turkey increased by 49.8%. The second largest number of companies registered in partnership with Turkish businessmen in 2022 were Iranians – they have 1,300 established companies.
The influx of Russians to Turkey also reflects the real estate market in the country. At the end of the year, the sale of housing to foreigners increased by 15.1%. Of the 68 thousand objects sold to foreign citizens, 16.3 thousand fell to the share of Russians. This figure increased by 203.3% over the year.
