Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova announced that the national project “Culture” is planned to be extended until 2030. The corresponding formal decision, according to her, could be made in the near future.
“The fifth year of implementation of the national project “Culture” is coming to an end. The level of its box office execution, as you know, is one of the highest… Therefore, today we are working on extending the national project “Culture” until 2030,” said Ms. Lyubimova, speaking in the State Duma as part of the “Government Hour”.
According to her estimates, extending the duration of the national project “Culture” can help a number of regions of the country to continue and complete the construction and reconstruction of a number of important cultural sites.
The national project “Culture” was launched in 2014, and now, according to documents, it should end in 2024. The curator of the national project in the Russian government is Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova; the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, is responsible for the implementation of the national project. The structure of the national project currently includes three federal projects: “Cultural Environment”, “Creative People” and “Digital Culture”.
