The most accessible Internet in Israel, the least – in Côte d’Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire residents need to work more than 65 hours to pay for a month’s fixed broadband internet access. The country ranks last in the Internet accessibility rating compiled by Surfshark VPN service specialists. For comparison: the world average is ten times less and is 6 hours 31 minutes. In Israel and Armenia, which occupy the first lines of the rating, you need to work less than 20 minutes to pay for home Internet. The most affordable mobile internet is also in Israel. In Côte d’Ivoire, on the other hand, you need to work for almost an hour to pay for 1 GB of mobile traffic at the cheapest rate. For comparison: the world average is 13 minutes.
Russia also included in the top 10 countries in terms of Internet availability: to pay for fixed Internet, you need to work a little more than half an hour, for mobile – a little more than 2 minutes. In general, over the past year, the availability of fixed Internet in the world has slightly decreased (you need to work on average 6 minutes longer), mobile, on the contrary, has increased (you need to work 2 minutes less).
Internet accessibility rating is an integral part research digital quality of life in different countries. To evaluate, Surfshark measured the ratio of the cheapest tariffs for fixed and mobile broadband Internet to the average hourly wage in the country.
