The Moscow Arbitration Court registered lawsuit Moscow Metro in relation to its construction contractor JSC Mosmetrostroy. In it, the metro management demands to recover more than 2.8 billion rubles from it.
The lawsuit was filed in court on March 13. It has not yet been accepted for consideration. The grounds for the claims are not indicated in the court materials.
In 2019, the Moscow Metro already filed a lawsuit against Mosmetrostroy. Then he managed to recover 11.8 million rubles from the defendant. for unjust enrichment and another 1.6 million rubles. as interest. The reason for filing the claim was the non-contractual consumption of electricity at the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, Fonvizinskaya and Butyrskaya stations.
Mosmetrostroy has been operating since 1931. The company built most of the existing Moscow metro stations. In the fall of 2022, Moscow authorities consolidated 100% of the shares of Mosmetrostroy, and at the end of February 2024 they put them up for auction with an initial lot price of 75 million rubles.
