In the new season of the Theater. The Moscow City Council, which will open its second century, the most anticipated premiere will be the musical performance “The Bremen Town Musicians” – this was announced at a press conference by the artistic director of the capital’s troupe Yevgeny Marchelli, summing up the first century.
“We have released nine performances, the tenth premiere will be released at the beginning of next season,” Marcelli said. “We started with the landmark performance “Solo for Chilling Clocks” staged by Pavel Parkhomenko, the roles in it were performed by our artists – masters and young ones.” Modestly noting his contribution to the general premiere treasury with two productions based on the classics (Shakespeare and Ostrovsky), he praised Andrei Konchalovsky, who released a performance based on modern material – “Married Life. Perestroika. He also remembered the original production, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Moscow City Council Theater itself and called so simply – “100 Years” (directed by Marina Brusnikina). In it, 100 artists of the Mossovet Theater immediately took the stage and told its story in 100 minutes.
However, in the new season, the theater is betting on a children’s performance, the name of which has long become synonymous with hit and success – “The Bremen Town Musicians”. For the leading theater artist Valery Yaremenko, this performance will become not only a professional, but also a personal story:
– My youngest nine-year-old son is looking forward to the premiere, where I will be a brilliant detective, he has already told the whole school about it. For me, this role will become significant not only as an actor, but also as a person who is also a young dad.
