The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed amendments equating any information transmitted via the Internet to the necessary for investigative actions. Thanks to these amendments, the security forces will be able to receive remote access to data from data centers, cloud storages, telecom operators and citizens’ devices until a court order.
The amendments proposed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs relate to the law “On operational-investigative activities”. The department’s initiative is aimed at speeding up search activities, but could lead to abuse.
Details – in the publication “Kommersant” “Internet put on the wanted list”.
