The Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to exclude the herbal liqueur (bitter) of the German company Mast-Jаgermeister from the list of goods for parallel imports. Earlier, the Kaluga distillery “Kristall” addressed the government with such a request.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is preparing an updated version of the list of goods allowed for parallel import, in which Mast-Jagermeister SE products will be excluded,” the press service of the ministry told TASS.
The department explained that, based on a request from the Kristall plant, industry regulators asked for a position on the exclusion of Mast-Jаgermeister products from the list for parallel imports. Later, on this issue, the regulators presented a “consolidated position” that such products should be excluded.
Deliveries of Jаgermeister liquor in Russia were stopped in November 2022. Later, the German company demanded that the chains stop selling Alter Heiler and Konig Heiler Kaluga bitters, calling them counterfeit. Then the Federal Antimonopoly Service issued Jägermeister warning due to demands on Kristall to stop selling these bitters.
