The Ministry of Industry and Trade has excluded Japanese Kyocera printers from the list of goods allowed for parallel import. The agency said that the company has resumed deliveries of products, although Kyocera itself denies this. The Japanese company did not suspend the import of consumables and spare parts to the Russian Federation.

Kyocera products are sold in major networks such as M.Video-Eldorado, Citylink and DNS. The Japanese manufacturer claims that it is only “selling out the rest from the warehouse.” According to Marvel Distribution, a vendor of Kyocera products, the Japanese company “has long stopped supplying equipment,” and “everything that appears on the Russian market is the result of parallel imports.”

Kyocera is a Japanese high-tech company founded in 1959. It manufactures various electronic devices as well as ceramic products. In Russia, according to ITResearch, the manufacturer is one of the leaders in the printer market. According to the results of last year, it accounted for 10% of the market (HP – 36%, Pantum – 16%, Canon – 10%). Kyocera printers after the company’s refusal to supply to Russia, following the products of HP, Xerox, Canon, Epson and other manufacturers, were included in the list of goods allowed for parallel import by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

As Kommersant reported, the Ministry of Digital Development has developed a new mechanism to support Russian manufacturers of telecom equipment, printers and modems through subsidizing the rate on loans for the purchase of electronic components, primarily foreign ones.
