The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the first flight of the imported SJ-100

The Russian aircraft SJ-100 with imported systems made its first flight. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“A prototype of the Russian short-haul aircraft SJ-100, manufactured by the production center of PJSC Yakovlev” (part of UAC Rostec State Corporation) in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, made its first flight,” the statement said.

The agency noted that the flight lasted 54 minutes at an altitude of up to 3000 m. In flight, the SJ-100 accelerated to 343 km / h.

As part of the tests, the pilots checked the stability and controllability of the aircraft in the air, the automatic pressure control systems in the cockpit. In addition, the aircraft made a “cloud landing” and a go-around approach. “During the tests, the stable operation of all domestic systems, the controllability and stability of the aircraft in the air were confirmed,” the Ministry of Industry and Trade added.

In total, about 40 systems and units were placed in the updated “superjet”. They added that this SJ-100 flew on the Franco-Russian Sam146 engines, which are equipped with the current Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100). How explained in Rostec in June, this is necessary to “accelerate the test program.” The second sample will fly already with domestic PD-8 engines.

The SJ-100 is a new, “import-substituted” version of the short-haul SSJ100, which consists of 70% foreign components. How wrote Vedomosti, the development of this aircraft will cost 120-130 billion rubles. This amount also includes the creation of the Russian PD-8 engine. In April, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that a certificate for the PD-8 engine for the SSJ 100 was expected in September of this year. On August 13, in an interview with Vedomosti, Aeroflot CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky informedthat the company expects delivery of the first two SJ-100s at the end of this year. They will be used by Rossiya Airlines.
