The Ministry of Health included iodine and aspirin in the list of potentially scarce drugs

97 positions were included by the interdepartmental commission of the Ministry of Health in the list of medicines that may become “potentially defective” in the Russian market. For these medicines, the government will take action as a matter of priority to make them available to consumers.

According to the publication “Pharmaceutical Bulletin”having familiarized itself with the document, the Ministry of Health issued 44 permits for the possibility of accelerated registration of medicines, 80 permits – for making changes under the reduced procedure, 11 permits – for the circulation of drugs in Russia in foreign packaging, 7 permits – for temporary circulation in the country of unregistered drugs.

Among the drugs included in the list: iodine, ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), lidocaine, paracetamol, fentanyl, phenobarbital (the main component of valocordin and corvalol) and other drugs.

Earlier, the analytical company RNC Pharma reported that Russia decreased supply of imported tranquilizers. Also on the market fixed rising prices for essential drugs.
