The Ministry of Finance of Russia has prepared a bill that proposes to allow duty-free sale (duty free) of alcoholic beverages at airports for passengers of domestic flights until June 30, 2026, reported press office Ministry of Finance.
“So, the document proposes to allow the retail sale of alcoholic products by owners of duty-free shops in stores located in the waiting rooms for domestic flights and in the baggage claim halls of Russian airports until June 30, 2026, with the establishment of special requirements for such sales,” the ministry said in a statement. .
The press service clarified that this measure will support the operators of international airports in the Russian Federation and the owners of duty-free shops, which suffered heavy losses due to sanctions and during the coronavirus pandemic.
