The Ministry of Finance of Russia placed at auction on October 26 federal loan bonds with variable coupon income (OFZ-PK) series 29021 maturing on November 27, 2030 in the amount of 123.58 billion rubles. At two primary auctions on October 19, there were posted OFZ for a total amount of 50 billion rubles. In just three auctions, the Ministry of Finance was able to attract 173.58 billion rubles, having overfulfilled the quarterly plan for placement of government bonds.
The Ministry of Finance did not place government bonds on the primary market for four weeks in a row. On September 28, October 5 and 12, auctions were not held due to increased volatility in the financial market. On September 21, the agency declared void the auctions for the sale of OFZ-PD series 26237 in the amount of 20 billion rubles. and OFZ-PD series 26240 in the amount of 10 billion rubles. due to the lack of applications at affordable prices.
